ReflectĮach verse is written in two parts, a literary style known as parallelism. Good people will be remembered as a blessing, but the wicked will soon be forgotten. The wicked die before their time.Ģ8 The hopes of good people lead to joy, but wicked people can look forward to nothing.Ģ9 The Lord protects honest people, but destroys those who do wrong.ģ0 Righteous people will always have security, but the wicked will not survive in the land.ģ1 Righteous people speak wisdom, but the tongue that speaks evil will be stopped.ģ2 Righteous people know the kind thing to say, but the wicked are always saying things that hurt. Intelligent people take pleasure in wisdom.Ģ4 The righteous get what they want, but the wicked will get what they fear most.Ģ5 Storms come, and the wicked are blown away, but honest people are always safe.Ģ6 Never get a lazy person to do something for you he will be as irritating as vinegar on your teeth or smoke in your eyes.Ģ7 Obey the Lord, and you will live longer. Hard work can make you no richer.Ģ3 It is foolish to enjoy doing wrong. If you are wise, you will keep quiet.Ģ0 A good person's words are like pure silver a wicked person's ideas are worthless.Ģ1 A good person's words will benefit many people, but you can kill yourself with stupidity.Ģ2 It is the Lord's blessing that makes you wealthy. Anyone who spreads gossip is a fool.ġ9 The more you talk, the more likely you are to sin. People who talk foolishly will come to ruin.ĩ Honest people are safe and secure, but the dishonest will be caught.ġ0 Someone who holds back the truth causes trouble, but one who openly criticizes works for peace.ġ1 A good person's words are a fountain of life, but a wicked person's words hide a violent nature.ġ2 Hate stirs up trouble, but love forgives all offenses.ġ3 Intelligent people talk sense, but stupid people need to be punished.ġ4 The wise get all the knowledge they can, but when fools speak, trouble is not far off.ġ5 Wealth protects the rich poverty destroys the poor.ġ6 The reward for doing good is life, but sin leads only to more sin.ġ7 People who listen when they are corrected will live, but those who will not admit that they are wrong are in danger.ġ8 Anyone who hides hatred is a liar. Help me avoid distractions that lead me astray And let the work I do be fulfilling in Jesus’ name Amen.Wise children make their fathers proud of them foolish ones bring their mothers grief.Ģ Wealth you get by dishonesty will do you no good, but honesty can save your life.ģ The Lord will not let good people go hungry, but he will keep the wicked from getting what they want.Ĥ Being lazy will make you poor, but hard work will make you rich.ĥ A sensible person gathers the crops when they are ready it is a disgrace to sleep through the time of harvest.Ħ Good people will receive blessings. Help me honor you with this work that I doįill me with passion for this work that I do, so that I may be able to serve people wholeheartedly. When I’m confused, please guide and teach me the right way to do things. When I feel tired, please fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit to strengthen me. Thank you for giving me the desire to use the gifts you’ve given me to help others.
Thank you for planting this seed in my heart and giving me the opportunity to serve others. Sovereign Lord, I thank you for all that you’ve been doing in my life.
So do your work wholeheartedly, and your work will not be in vain. When you are generous and faithful, your life, your business, or job is going to be rewarding and fulfilling. When you make decisions that honor God, he will reward you for your good deeds. You just have to believe in him and keep up the good work. He hasn’t forgotten about all that you’ve been doing. God is faithful, so your breakthrough is on its way. He sees all that you do and he will reward you for all that you do. He doesn’t forget and he will not forget you. One thing you have to remember is that God isn’t human. God is not unjust he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
